Birds Kingdom is open and ready to welcome educational visits for all ages.
We are a bird sanctuary conveniently located in beautiful surroundings on the shore of Amwaj Islands. We specialise in the conservation of endangered birds, providing them with a safe, clean and enriched environment. We would like to invite your school group to visit Birds Kingdom to meet our Education Team who are dedicated to promoting an understanding of the birds through fun and interesting talks.
Our birds all previously formed part of a much loved private collection, and are now on show to the public for the first time. We currently have over 100 different species of birds, some of which are on the CITES list of critically endangered birds.
The children will be given a short talk structured to the age of the child to explain natural habitats, feeding and origins of the main species of parrots and Macaws.
We would then recommend that the children are divided into small teacher led groups as they will be given the opportunity to complete a park related activity such as a worksheet or quiz carefully designed to suit the group’s age.
The visit can be tailored to meet the needs of the group at the advance request of the group leader.
We have a designated area for group discussion.
No charge for accompanying teachers
